The first meeting of “Talking Mothers”, a new initiative designed to provide mothers with a supportive space to share experiences, exchange knowledge, and receive professional guidance, was held in Fethiye with strong participation.

Founded by Serra Yılmaz Aydoğan, a Speech and Language Therapist with a master’s degree in Neuroscience, the project aims to create a welcoming environment where mothers can express themselves freely, gain confidence through evidence-based information, and support one another.
Speaking at the event, Aydoğan emphasized that child development cannot be viewed independently of parents. She highlighted that parents’—particularly mothers’—well-being plays a vital role in children’s language development, communication skills, emotional growth, and behavioral development.

During the first gathering, participants discussed child development and parenting, shared their personal experiences, and had the opportunity to ask questions and receive professional insights. Held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the event also gave mothers the chance to connect with others facing similar parenting experiences.
Future Talking Mothers meetings will explore a wide range of topics, including child development, speech and language development, child psychology, and parental well-being. The program will also feature interactive activities, question-and-answer sessions, educational workshops, and guest speakers from various professional fields.

At the end of the event, Serra Yılmaz Aydoğan thanked D
ükkan 48 for hosting the first gathering, Pandora Psychology for its valuable support, and Aradia Gül Şanlı for preparing surprise gifts for the participating mothers.
Expressing her satisfaction with the strong interest shown in the inaugural event, Aydoğan said that the Talking Mothers community aims to continue growing through regular meetings, reaching more mothers while providing a safe and supportive environment for learning, sharing, and personal growth.
